Samsung announces a major update for TV Plus

On August 30, Samsung announced that it was bringing more new content to the TV Plus platform through a new update, which will be rolled out globally across Samsung Smart TVs, mobile apps, and the web. The South Korean tech giant also revealed that the Samsung TV Plus service reached TV and mobile in 24 countries and 465 million devices worldwide. Since its initial launch in 2015, Samsung TV Plus has steadily expanded its reach and content offering to deliver over 220 channels in the US alone.

With the update, Samsung TV Plus is getting two exclusive Samsung-owned channels: Ride or Drive, which provides automotive content to car fans, and Samsung Showcase, which is dedicated to “concerts, events and special programming”. . And in collaboration with A&E another new channel named Home.Made.Nation will come up.

The company mentioned in its newsroom post that it plans to expand local news and weather coverage to more areas of the US. By 2023, Samsung aims to double its video-on-demand library using new and expanded partnerships with Lionsgate, Vice Media, and others.
