Continuing with information dug up by tipster IceUniverse, the US chipmaker is seriously working on the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-chip. It seems Qualcomm is making sure the 8 Gen 2 should be a very impressive yet power-efficient chip to impress Samsung as well.

This means, that all 2023 Android phones will offer amazing performance, thanks to Qualcomm’s 8 Gen 2 chipset. Meanwhile, the first phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is likely to launch this November, possibly from Xiaomi.

Last year, Samsung manufactured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor for Qualcomm, but due to performance and heating issues, the OEM switched to TSMC for the 8 Plus Gen 1 version. It is reported that the company is looking at getting an upcoming chip manufactured by Taiwanese TSMC instead of Samsung.
