After becoming available in North America and Middle Eastern countries, the January 2024 update for Samsung Galaxy S22 devices has now reached the US. On the other side, the Korean tech giant has also begun One UI 6.1 internal testing for these smartphones.
The January 2024 update is a regular security patch, which enhances the security and stability of your Galaxy devices, ensuring that user’s data and sensitive information remain safe and secure. It also provides improved protection against threats and viruses.
In addition, the current month’s security mainatainence release also mentions fixes for 75 common vulnerability exposures including 1 critical, 68 high, and 6 moderate. While, it also mends 5 Samsung vulnerability exposures related to camera, secure folder, biometrics, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Simultaneously, the January 2024 update is rolling out for the carrier-locked units of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra via the One UI build version S901USQS4DWLG, S906USQS4DWLG, and S908USQS4DWLG respectively in the US.
Therefore, if you reside in the US and operating any of the Galaxy S22 series models, then upgrade it to the latest version. For this, all you need to do is, visit the Settings app and tap on the Software Update menu. Now, press the Download & Install key and follow the instructions.
