Google Drive has brought a big change to one of its most used features on Android, this new modification will redesign the interface of the document scanner and add several new elements.
According to the information, the redesign for the Google Drive document scanner is rolling out with version 2.23.457.1 on Android. Now, let’s alloborate what changes you notice after upgrading the app to the latest version.
As soon as you launch the scanner from the dedicated camera FAB that appears above the rectangular one for New, which still retains Scan like before. Then there will be a custom viewfinder that features Google Drive branding up top, instead of the default camera app.
Here, the Auto capture mode, alongside the Manual button will take the shot for you. This will further launch a new Preview interface with the Material You bottom bar that includes options like Crop & Rotate, Filter, Retake, and Delete.
Moving on, the other new features include a new Home feed with a Suggested top tab, an Activity option that replaces Notifications, a Starred option to replace the old Workspaces tab, and more.
