Galaxy Watch 6 gets a touchscreen fix in April 2024 update

News for owners not only about the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic! The software upgrade in April is very welcome to tackle a significant touchscreen issue faced by users.

Unlike the Galaxy Watch line receiving updates at irregular intervals, Samsung’s “flagship line” variant smartphones come with updates more frequently. However, this important reboot shows Samsung’s determination to ensure that your device doesn’t break down.

This is related to the touch behavior of the screen over the air (OTA) (software version R940XXU1AXC2 for the Galaxy Watch 6 and R960XXU1AXC2 for the Watch 6 Classic). It seems there may have been a glitch in an earlier update that unexpectedly affected the touchscreen. This update fixes those touchscreen bugs to reduce its oscillation and improve its performance since the last update.

Refreshes the account control panel, but it seems to be working on a touchscreen without addressing or resolving security issues and other hardware operations at this time. Additionally, it’s a reminder that the Galaxy Watch 6 or 6 Classic may be a must-have for you. This is done through the Samsung Wearable app on your respective smartphone by going to the update settings of the watch. These could be the results of the new update that is currently being rolled out in the United States and Europe.
