Samsung has officially introduced ECG and blood pressure features on its smartwatches since the Galaxy Watch Active 2. These are two essential features of a smartwatch and since then every Galaxy smartwatch comes with these features.

These features were primarily released for the South Korean version of the Galaxy smartwatch and then expanded to several other countries. However, there are still some regions where the company is not providing these features, and one of Samsung’s major markets, India is one of them.

Samsung’s all-new Galaxy Watch 5 series also comes with ECG and BP measurement features in several countries, but not in India, as reported by TizenHelp. It seems that the Indian version of the device is still not optimized to get these advanced features.

While the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro are already up for pre-orders in several countries, they will be available in India starting August 16. Earlier, Amazon India listed these watches and introduced the products in the “Coming Soon” category.

The listing also mentions the features and specifications of the Indian version of the wearables. There are a lot of features that can be seen but there is no glimpse of ECG and BP features.

On the other hand, Samsung’s official website also mentions that the features are limited to select countries, however, it has not noted down the names of customers from those unlucky countries. It is noteworthy that the BP function is also not available in the United States.
