However, if you were hoping for a significant upgrade in battery capacity for the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra, you might be disappointed. Recent leaks confirm that the battery size will remain unchanged.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Battery: No Change in Capacity
According to the latest information from the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) database, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with a 4,885mAh battery, which will be marketed as 5,000mAh—just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This confirms that there will be no upgrade in battery capacity for this model.
Samsung’s competitors, such as Honor, OnePlus, OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi, have already moved towards larger batteries, with some even testing 6,000mAh or 7,500mAh capacities. While the Galaxy S24 Ultra can last a full day with heavy usage, a larger battery would have allowed for even more extended use. What to Expect from the Galaxy S25 Series
Despite the lack of a battery upgrade, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to come with a fresh design, featuring rounded corners. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to receive a significant camera boost, including a 200MP primary camera, two 50MP telephoto cameras, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Depending on the market, the devices will run on either the Exynos 2500 chip or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, both of which are 3nm chips that promise substantial performance improvements.
