Galaxy S24’s lock screen gets a weather makeover

Samsung has introduced a new Vision Core feature that enables lock screen customization to unprecedented levels, innovating display technologies and enriching the lock screen appearance. This is an introduction to Photo Ambient, a cool new feature introduced by the new Galaxy S24 series, and here’s its live environment.

Imagine a rainy day or heavy rain where you use your phone to unlock the image of raindrops falling on your wallpaper, as well as passing over objects. Love snowy landscapes? Think of snowflakes falling slowly on a refreshing black screen background with the magic that winter brings….

Fusion Upgrade will entertain you by making your wallpaper live! Interactivity and inspiration are going to be the keywords! They managed to get information in some detail that only a phone expert can understand. However, there is a problem with this. Currently, it is only available on Galaxy S24 handsets (i.e. Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra). If you are a former user of the S23 series models or expect the Z Flip V and Fold V to launch soon, you will not be able to enjoy this update despite getting it on your previous One UI 6.1 device.

Turning on the photoperiodic environment setting is not complicated. Do you still remember the last time you did Settings > Advanced > Usage > Photo Ambient Wallpaper? Turn it on. This feature, labeled Lab, looks quite smooth at first glance. As a result, after receiving this software update, Galaxy S24 owners will be allowed to easily customize their lock screen with magical weather effects!
