Galaxy S23 Ultra’s S Pen won’t break even after inserting downwards

Samsung has recently introduced the Galaxy S23 Ultra which features S Pen as well as comes with dedicated space to store it so it won’t lose. But what if you mistakenly insert the S Pen downwards on the phone? Well, it won’t harm the phone in any way.

Making mistakes is human nature, but sometimes even small mistakes can become huge. Therefore, while manufacturing smartphones, Samsung takes care that such mistakes do not damage the whole device.

Back in 2015, Samsung created Galaxy Note 5 smartphone which too has built-in space to store S Pen. However, due to inserting the S Pen from the reverse direction, multiple customers ended up damaging their S Pen as well as their smartphones.

At that time, Samsung took a dig by saying that it had already instructed customers to use the S Pen carefully. “We highly recommend our Galaxy Note 5 users follow the instructions in the user guide to ensure they do not experience such an unexpected scenario caused by reinserting the S Pen the other way around,” the company said.

But the company learned from the incident and fixed the design in the upcoming Note smartphone and other S series phones with built-in S Pen space. After Galaxy Note 5, Samsung introduced Galaxy Note 7, which has a mechanism that prevented the S Pen from going inside if inserted from downwards.

The same is the case with the newly launched Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung has designed the S Pen and S Pen slot of Galaxy S23 Ultra that doesn’t allow the accessory to insert in the other way. So if someone accidentally puts it downwards, it just doesn’t go in.
