To meet the growing needs of consumers, Samsung recently released the latest UI, One UI 6.1, for its premium devices, including the Gala S23 smartphone. This update brings several improvements and new features, but there is one surprising omission: photo wallpapers for environments.
This is a great feature included in the new Galaxy S24 line that can customize your lock and home screens with personalized dynamic animations that change according to the time and season. In the blink of an eye you can see and feel snowflakes falling on your wallpaper during a winter storm; A tangible sunrise is painting your screen in the morning. It’s all in the small but beautiful details that make your device look cool and techy inside.
However, Galaxy S23 users may not be able to experience the Photo Ambience wallpaper, but they will be in luck the next time One UI 6.1 is released. The release, Generative Wallpapers, is a basic tool that allows you to describe your wallpaper by your chosen keywords. Therefore, you can develop a background that your character is layered on and has a personality that matches your personality and preferences.
Essentially, this set of features adds a touch of long-awaited novelty to the Samsung S23 which is a good thing. Although I will miss the ability to change to different background imagery, Generative Wallpapers provides a nice and comfortable replacement for a personalized look on the phone. Compared to the S22 series, this feature will be an improvement as it ensures that the display will not get damaged by sunlight.
