Tech giant Samsung is always innovating, and their latest patent hints at a new wearable device: Space Wellbeing with Galaxy Smart Glasses. With this in mind, such innovation aims to showcase a picture of interactivity in the future.
A recently discovered feature patent apparently owned by Apple shows designs that are very similar to the current glasses. This strategic move could help make the technology easier to use and accepted by the public.
It doesn’t give exact details but, it does provide pictures of the Glass and its charging case. The diagrams that have been added can be judged as a basic approach to the design with a glimpse at the internal configuration. The emptiness of a picture speaks a thousand words. Unlike other XR devices, there is no mention of cameras and detectors as distinct components. This makes me wonder if these glasses are about comfort, providing information about meteorology and the speed at which I walk.
Be it augmented reality overlays or better user interface in mobile, this will also be an important thing to aim for. The patent doesn’t fully answer them, but still saves the day by giving clues as to what technologies Samsung might adopt in the future. Whether or not this concept becomes a reality remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: the smartwatch wave is on the rise and Samsung is in the early stages of this trend.
