Galaxy S23 owners, rejoice! Samsung has revealed the recent fingerprint sensor on your handset is lacking the desired functionality after the One UI 6.1 update. Many customers noted, quite uncomfortably, that the fingerprint scanner animation was gone either by Blender’s fault or on purpose, thus opening the phone is now difficult.
Good News? Have to be patient, it will get better soon! A moderator of the Samsung community confirmed that they are going to release an update which will be a software repair only. Even though there is no mention of an exact release date, Google intends to upgrade it to be included in the April 2024 security patch drop.
It is worth noting that Swift Action is not the first time Samsung has done this. They made headlines last month when they were first unveiled, also adding the S24 and a-series devices to their number. After trying its best to ensure that every eligible device receives the update as soon as possible, Samsung is taking great care to ensure timely delivery of updates.
Within moments, the trip was over, and there we was, a typical university student, stressed about the exam timetable. An upcoming software upgrade is needed to fix this issue, and your fingerprint issues will be gone 🙂
