Samsung has started rolling out the August 2024 security update for its Galaxy S21 smartphones, focusing on enhancing device security. Currently, the update is available only in Vietnam, but it will likely reach more regions soon.
Update Details
The update is available for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra models. It comes with firmware version G99xBXXUCGXGC and includes the latest security patch to fix around 50 vulnerabilities identified in previous software versions.
If you’re using a Galaxy S21 series phone in Vietnam, you can download the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. For those who prefer manual updates, the firmware is available for download and can be flashed using the Odin tool.
Galaxy S21 Series Software History
The Galaxy S21 series was launched in early 2021, initially running on Android 11. Over the years, it has received updates to Android 12, Android 13, and Android 14. The series is expected to get its final major update, Android 15, by the end of this year.
