Samsung is the leader in the worldwide smartphone market and maintains its top position in all three of the four quarters. It is not about smartphones sold in 2022, but the report is based on the active number of users using smartphones powered by iOS and Android. The report meant that 50% of all USA users are using iPhones, while the rest are using phones from various OEMs powered by Android.
Last time, Apple grabbed the same market share in 2007 when it released the first generation iPhone models in the US. Therefore, it is undoubtedly a great achievement for the Cupertino company, reflecting the mood of the American people.
The US tech giant will launch the iPhone 14 series on September 7, which could include four models such as iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Among them, the Pro and Pro Max models may sport a notch-less screen.
Earlier, DSCC’s Ross Young revealed that Samsung’s display division is the leader in panel shipments for iPhones. According to the information, Apple received 82% of the panels from Samsung, 12% from LG Display, and the remaining 6% from the Chinese BOE.
