One of the features we’re looking forward to is the ability to control smart home devices from the lock screen of our Galaxy devices. Android 13 beta shows this feature is disabled by default, but you can enable it in your phone settings. It will probably come with Samsung One UI 5.0.
One UI 5.0 smart home device remote:
Presently, One UI 4.1 lock screen settings do not have an option to control smart home devices from the lock screen. Android 13 One UI 5.0, on the other hand, has a toggle that enables a feature called “Controlled by Locked Devices.”
Enable this toggle to access some control devices on the lock screen. The Samsung One UI 5.0 smart home device controller does not give the user the option of controlling the device which can be used when the phone is turned off.
Instead, the app developer must select whether some control device is available on the unlocked phone. For example, this special will not be available until the developer modifies the app to support the feature.
However, at this time it is not possible to see the controllers available. This has not yet been explained in Samsung and will continue to be seen in One UI 5.0 Beta.
