- Due to changes in sound processing, stability can’t be guaranteed.
- Users can update Sound Assistant through the Galaxy Store.
Samsung has rolled out a new version of the Sound Assistant app, version 6.1.00.9, which is part of the Good Lock suite. This update has disabled the Reverse Stereo feature for the latest Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable phones. Here’s a simple explanation of the feature and why it was removed.
The Reverse Stereo feature in Sound Assistant lets users switch the left and right audio channels for headphones. However, Samsung has stated that due to changes in how system sound is processed in these new models, they can’t ensure the feature will work reliably. This is why they decided to disable it.
Samsung hopes to make the Reverse Stereo feature compatible with the new sound processing method in the future. To update to the latest version of Sound Assistant, go to the Galaxy Store, open the Menu, select Updates, and click ‘Update all.’
