Sources suggest Samsung has postponed the One UI 7.0 beta to focus on releasing the One UI 6.1.1 update to more devices. One UI 6.1.1, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July, is expected to roll out to older Galaxy foldable phones, tablets, and some high-end slab-type phones. This update will introduce new Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones, setting the stage for the more significant One UI 7.0 release.
One UI 7.0 promises substantial changes, including revamped UI elements, new animations, and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities. When the One UI 7.0 beta finally goes live, it will be limited to select markets and devices, with the first stable build expected by the end of the year.
Galaxy AI Coming to Mid-Range Phones
Exciting news for Galaxy A phone users: Galaxy AI is set to expand beyond high-end devices to mid-range Galaxy A models, starting with the 2024 Galaxy A35 and A55. Sources indicate that Galaxy AI will be introduced to these devices through the One UI 6.1.1 update, expected to roll out within the next month or two.
However, not all Galaxy AI features will be available on the Galaxy A35 and A55. Samsung is likely to exclude features that require extensive on-device processing power.
