Key Points:
- Samsung accidentally listed upcoming wearables in its support app.
- This confirms the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Ring.
- Leak confirms Galaxy Buds 3 and Pro will have a stem design.
Samsung isn’t known for accidentally revealing its upcoming products, but that’s exactly what happened with the Galaxy Watch 7 and other wearables. These devices were mistakenly listed in the Samsung Members app, a platform designed to help users troubleshoot existing devices.
This leak comes ahead of Samsung’s expected Galaxy Unpacked event this summer, where the company is likely to unveil the Watch 7 and its variants officially. While rumors have been swirling about these devices for some time, Samsung’s misstep serves as undeniable confirmation of their existence.
The leak extends beyond the Galaxy Watch 7, revealing the Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and even the Galaxy Ring. Samsung previously teased the Galaxy Ring at CES earlier this year, but the others haven’t been formally announced. Interestingly, most of these leaked independently before Samsung’s app mishap. The Watch 7, for example, received certification on June 10th and leaked with detailed specifications just days before.
The Galaxy Buds 3 and Pro gained the most intriguing detail from the app leak – their design. Contrary to Samsung’s previous entirely in-ear offerings, the icons within the app depict earbuds with stems, similar to Apple’s AirPods. This design choice aligns with a rumor from June 10th suggesting Samsung’s shift towards a more popular earbud style. With this leak, it seems the rumor holds weight.
Samsung’s unintentional reveal serves as a double-edged sword. While the company might have preferred a more controlled unveiling, the leak undeniably hypes up consumers and fans for the upcoming wearables. With the Galaxy Unpacked event approaching, we can expect to see Samsung officially showcase these devices soon.
