Park Cheon, area manager of ABT, said the deal, eventually made at the Woori Bank headquarters in Seoul, also includes SNU, Postec, Sogang University and Sangkwan University. This state-of-the-art approach will help students not need to carry physical student IDs and will also help eliminate queue times to access university facilities including cafeterias, classrooms and libraries.
Activation is refreshingly straightforward. No more hassle to get an ATM card! Students simply need to link their VooriBank Debit Card to the student ID number on Samsung Wallet. The instant process will merge their educational records with the mobile application by default, eliminating the need for students to do it themselves.
The cooperative relationship between Samsung Electronics and Woori Bank will grow further in the future. Their focus presents a challenge to work around the financial products of digital wallet services and to improve the financial services environment at large.
