However, the fix arriving today finally fixes a problem that definitely shouldn’t have happened since Android 14 was published late last year. Criminal? And I turned to technical support resources for help. I discovered that this was probably a misuse of the built-in protection against screen burn-in.
To avoid screen burn-in, especially on AMOLED screens, the position of any elements that are always visible, such as the notification bar, is subtly shifted by a few pixels at regular intervals so that they do not burn-in. This turning motion has a function that is necessary to stop the afterimage. Yet, through the Android 14 update on Samsung smartphones, the device’s status bar has become worse concerning the “pixel shift” that occurs depending on what mode you are using the phone in. There is a facility to change color.
Although this may seem like a simple thing to do, users have to wait month after month for the owner to put a solution into effect. I don’t need to paint anymore. The latest One UI user interface update is about exactly that, looking at the S23, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5. When considering a drive update, the throwback to shifting will be with pixels, reducing the possibility of burnout.
