Samsung will launch its next high-end lineup – Galaxy S24 on January 17, 2024, and these devices will feature two different processors. In the meantime, the details of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400 processors have been leaked, giving users a hint at its powerfulness.
A reliable tipster RonaldQuandtz disclosed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip uses ARM Cortex-X4 Prime Core and is clocked at 3.39GHz, while the standard variant is capped at 3.3GHz. The two clusters of ARM Cortex-A720 cores only run at up to 2.9GHz and 3.1GHz, respectively,
While the two ARM Cortex-A520 cores of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy can only reach a maximum of 2.2GHz. On the flip side, the Exynos 2400 reaches a maximum of 3.2GHz with its prime core, and two clusters of ARM Cortex-A720 cores each run at 2.6GHz and 2.9GHz.
Whereas, the power-saving cores based on ARM Cortex-A520 work at a maximum of 1.95GHz. Notably, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ devices will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip in a few regions and Exynos 2400 in the rest. While the Galaxy S24 Ultra will exclusively power Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy.
