Samsung has finally started the Android 14-based One UI 6 software update rollout for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 devices. This latest iteration of One UI brings with it several goodnesses like new features, customizations, and performance improvements.
Some of the key elements of One UI 6 include an improved album art display, enhanced layout for notifications, simplified icon labels, new emoji design, better multitasking, simple and intuitive design in the camera, improved content sharing, enhanced illustrations, and more.
In addition to these new elements, the update also includes the December 2023 Android security patch to enhance the security and stability of the system. Consequently, the update is currently live for locked units of third-generation foldables in the US and will expand to more soon.
The consumers of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be able to identify the Android 14-based One UI 6 update via the build version F926USQU4HWL1 and F711USQU5HWL1 respectively in the US.
However, the update is rolling out gradually and will reach every eligible unit soon, in case you don’t want to wait for the OTA. Then upgrade your foldable device manually through Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
