Samsung is continuously evolving the boundaries of technology and in the recent development, a major supplier of CIS components, Samsung has issued a CIS price increase notice to customers. This change in price seems to be implemented in the first half of 2024.
The average increase in the first quarter of next year will be as high as 25%, and the increase for individual products can be as high as 30%. It is expected that the market will usher in a new cycle of price increases, which will result in CIS component price hikes.
It is reported that the CIS component market was previously affected by sluggish demand in the consumer market, which also impacted market prices and a decline in component prices. However, after entering the second half of this year, the smartphone market demand began to fully recover.
