For a long time, we have been witnessing leaks about Samsung’s first midrange foldable phone. However, the Korean tech firm has proved all this information wrong and put barricades on all surrounding rumors. Let’s delve into the accurate details.
According to the information, Samsung Electronics said that it doesn’t have plans to produce midrange foldable smartphones. Simultaneously, the firm also denies recent rumors that its Z Flip and Z Fold slated for next summer launch might be priced as low as $400 to $500.
Samsung Electronics spokesperson said,
- “We don’t plan to manufacture foldable smartphones that are priced in the midrange, and the latest rumors are groundless,”
Earlier it was reported that Samsung might drop the prices of its upcoming foldables to a midrange level as low as $400 in response to growing market interest in the foldable form factor. But this is all false, Samsung currently doesn’t have any plans to launch such low-cost devices.
Samsung Z-branded foldable smartphones currently reside in the premium segment portfolio. The Galaxy Z Flip 5, which launched this summer, had a starting price of $999. Whereas, the Z Fold 5 started at $1,799.
