Samsung’s flagship phones use premium Super AMOLED screens for stunning experiences. Meanwhile, some flagship phone’s display raising questions about the durability of AMOLED panels manufactured by Samsung Display due to complaints of Green or Pink or Purple line.
Line on display (whether it’s Green, Pink, or Purple) was first widely reported by consumers of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. After a long time, the company replaced the screen for free of cost, even without a warranty as there was no sign of external damage or accidental drop.
Over the past few weeks, a number of Galaxy S21 Ultra users reported having the same problem on their phone’s display. Suddenly, some Green and Pink/Purple lines appeared on their phone’s display, and the same thing to notice was the installation of the May 2023 update.
Since there’s no update from the users of Galaxy S21 Ultra regarding the replacement of their phone’s screen, a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra user confirmed (with attached documents) that the official Samsung support in India replaced his defective unit’s screen free of cost.
We tried to reach out to Samsung to know which Galaxy devices are eligible for free screen replacement in case of a line-on display problem. The company has not responded to our public query so far, in the meantime, we recommend you visit the nearby service center and share your concern with them.
