A few days back, Samsung started delivering the May 2022 security update to the Galaxy S22 series in various regions, while, the latest patch has now reached T-Mobile branded models in the US. The T-Mobile Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra consumers can now update their phones to the latest May 2022 security patch, ahead of the month of May. This is not surprising as the Korean tech giant has collapsed the Android maker with its killing security updates.
Currently, it’s difficult to discuss what CVEs and SVEs fix coming with the May 2022 patch, as, it will be detailed next week. However, it’s worth mentioning that T-Mobile may have added additional improvements and security enhancements for its locked S22 models.
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series was launched back in February 2022, with pre-loaded Android 12-based One UI 4.1. This lineup of flagships is eligible for four generations of major OS upgrades along with an additional year of security patches.
The Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta/Stable update will first be available for the Galaxy S22 series devices in the international market as well as the US ones. Furthermore, T-Mobile and Sprint carriers might also let users join the Beta activity to experience the One UI 5, months ahead of the Stable release.
