Samsung is expected to introduce the new-generation foldable smartphones in August. Ahead of the launch, multiple leaks are already here to give us an idea of what to expect from the phones. Recently, a piece of new information reveals that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get a camera upgrade.
As per the tipster chunvn888’s tweet, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get a 12MP primary camera, similar to its predecessor Galaxy Z Flip 4. But this is the upgraded version of the 12MP camera that is likely to offer clearer picture quality. Currently, it is not clear what changes or upgrades will be there but it is speculated that it will be larger than the 1/1.76″ unit on its predecessor.

About Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone, the tipster said that it will feature a 50 MP camera similar to its predecessor Galaxy Z Fold 4. This means that the company will not bring major camera changes with the next foldable. However, the 50 MP camera is also used on the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S22 Plus smartphones.

Aside from this, Samsung may use the new waterdrop hinge design in its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones. Similar to their predecessors, both will feature an IPX8 rating for water resistance, while there’s no upgrade on the dust resistance feature.
