Samsung is rolling out a new software update for Galaxy Tab S7 FE in Europe. But this update only installs the February 2023 Android security patch and users are still waiting for the big feature-rich One UI 5.1 update.
According to GalaxyClub (via SammyFans), Samsung is releasing the February 2023 software update to the Galaxy Tab S7 FE with firmware version T733XXU2CWB1 which weighs about 263 megabytes.
The update carries fixes for over 50 CVEs and some SVEs for better security. At the same time, it also installs new versions of a handful of apps including Global Goals, Samsung Kids, PENUP, Samsung Internet, SmartThings, Galaxy Shop, Flow, Members, Calculator, and Sound Recorder.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7 FE tablet is eligible for the next major Android upgrade, which indicates that it will get the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 too. However, the company may take some time to begin the rollout of this incremental firmware for the Fan Edition tablet users.
One UI 5.1 update is expected to release for the Tab S7 FE tablet by March 2023, meanwhile, an exact release timeline is unconfirmed. The new One UI version brings plenty of new features such as new battery and weather widgets, a selfie color tone tool, smoother animation, and enhanced visuals.
We will let you know when your device starts getting One UI 5.1. Until then, you can proceed with the installation of the February patch. To do so, first visit system Settings, tap Software update, followed by Download and install.
