One UI 5.0 System Settings

Samsung’s Android 13 update arrives in the form of One UI 5.0 for Galaxy devices. It brings many new features and meaningful changes to the user experience and interface. System Settings, which is undoubtedly the most important section of our smartphone, has seen some notable changes and improvements with One UI 5.0.

First, with the One UI 5.0 beta update, the Settings function’s icons got a new look and gradient feel, see here. After tapping on the icon, the Settings function shows a header portion in about 40% of the full screen, allowing users to access the top toggle with just one hand.

In the header part, there is a search button so you can directly locate the setting of your favorite app or function. After that, all the settings options are divided into groups according to their usefulness such as network, sounds, display, privacy, account, accessibility, etc.

First comes the Accounts tab which has the Account information mentioning the name of the owner of the phone as per the Samsung account and the image in a circular section. In the second section, there are two options namely Connection and Connected device (newly added) so that you can adjust network and other sharing options.

The third section houses the sound and vibration and notification settings, allowing you to modify the sound mode and status bar activities. In the fourth section, come Display, Wallpaper & Style, Themes, Home Screen and Lock Screen.

The fifth section of System Settings embeds three options including Security & Privacy, Location & Security & Emergency, followed by two options for account management in the next section, Google for Accounts & Backup and Access to Google services.

Advanced Features is the exclusive tab of the seventh part of System Settings which contains various experimental and useful features. Later, the 8th unit includes apps for Digital Wellbeing and parental controls, battery and device care, and application modifications and permissions.

Now, we’re going to end the initial system settings options with the remaining two sections, which are most important to consumers. The second last division provides important settings like general management and accessibility so that you can adjust the language, app language, input type, date and time, etc.

Last comes the section which includes software updates, tips, and user manuals about the phone. Using Software Update, you can download and install the new firmware, while the Tips tab provides useful tips for your Galaxy device, while the last tab contains important details about your device such as the IMEI number.
