Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets One UI 4.1.1 update in the US

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update for its foldable tablets. Meanwhile, the company is also offering One UI 4.1.1 on top of Android 12 for its regular flagship smartphones. The Galaxy S21 FE is the latest smartphone to install the One UI 4.1.1 update, after the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21.

According to the official changelog, this software update brings some new features. Along with this, it also brings the August 2022 Android security patch to enhance system security and stability along with some additional improvements.

Once you have installed this update on your Galaxy S21 FE, you will be able to edit file names even after they are shared via Private Sharing. To do this you have to go to Private Share. Then select the sent or received files and choose the Edit Name option from the 3 dots menu.

Apart from this, the device is also getting a better Smart View with new multi-view features. The company brings a new multi-view options window that appears when you select multi-view controls from the Smart View drop-down list.

Only the Verizon-locked Samsung Galaxy S21 FE model is getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1 update in the US. However, Samsung may extend this software update to more users in the coming time. If you live in the US and use a Verizon model, you can identify this update via build version G990USQU3CVH8.

How to install manually:

Go to your phone’s Settings and tap on the Software update option, provided at the last. From here, tap on Download and install and wait for a while for the update to appear. Once visible hit the Download button followed by Install now/Schedule install.
