The LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ has started collecting the August 2022 Android security patch update in India. This update has already been released in Europe and the United States.

According to new information, Samsung is bringing more than a dozen One UI app upgrades along with this minor Android security patch. Along with this, the company keeps on improving the performance of its two-year-old flagship smartphones.
The list of updated applications is as follows:

- Samsung Global Goals
- Samsung Kids
- Samsung Notes
- Samsung Internet
- Samsung Health
- SmartThings
- Samsung Members
- Samsung Pay
- Calculator
- Smart Switch
- Voice Recorder
These apps will be updated to their latest versions as soon as you install the new software version. Since the changelog does not mention what features or changes are coming to the new versions of these apps, we can not say anything on the matter.
However, it will certainly increase the performance and stability of the applications. You’ll know more changes once you get your hands on the new Galaxy S20 firmware.
Furthermore, the main objective of this August security patch is to improve the security and reliability of the device. With this, Samsung makes sure that the data is safe and private and will not be affected by any bugs and viruses.

Apart from these, the August 2022 security patch also comes with a slew of privacy and security-related issues and risks that affect the user’s experience. These vulnerabilities include more than a dozen CVEs found in Google and 31 exposures affecting Samsung apps and One UI.
Going forward, Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ (LTE version) August 2022 Android security patch update along with One UI build versions G980FXXUEFVG5 and G985FXXUEFVG5 in India.
