Samsung has started rolling out the Galaxy A52 August 2022 Android security patch update in Brazil. The update has been rolled out for the LTE version of the device while the 5G Galaxy A52 is yet to receive it.

In addition, Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy A52 August 2022 update with One UI build version A525MUBU4BVG5. It has a massive package size of around 1.1GB, it is recommended to use an unmetered connection when downloading.
On the other hand, this bulky package suggests that there are several noticeable changes inside. However, the official changelog doesn’t mention anything apart from minor system improvements and some stock app upgrades.
As per the changelog, the latest update comes with improved system protection that will help protect your files from bugs and viruses and keep your data safe. Whereas, increased security ensures you uninterrupted performance without any app crashes or lagging.
Moving on, the official changelog for the Galaxy A52 August patch also mentions some stock app upgrades. These apps include Samsung Notes, SmartThings, Samsung Members, Calculator, Smart Switch, and Voice Recorder.
However, what changes are taking place in these apps is not noted in the changelog. It may be possible that the company is improving the reliability of these applications, as well, as enhancing the features of some applications to provide users with the best experience they can.

Despite these changes, Samsung’s August 2022 security patch description mentions fixes for over 50 issues and exploits. These vulnerabilities include a solution to a serious dialer bug that allowed local attackers to access ICCID via logs. This includes SVE-2022-0726 (CVE-2022-33724) which damages the native dialer app.
Notably, the Samsung Galaxy A52 is eligible for the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 upgrade. At this time, Samsung has only released the first One UI 5 beta for the Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy A52 is not eligible for the beta version but will receive the stable update around November or December.
