However, you’ve probably never encountered something like this one IT professional says on Reddit. This Samsung customer claimed that the company owes him more than $35,000 in trade-in credit for the purchase of 125 Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The customer further detailed the story saying that he is a business owner who wanted to upgrade the smartphones of his 125 employees. They split the order of 125 Galaxy S22 Ultra into three transactions with the first two orders for 50 phones on April 15 and May 3, and then a third order for 25 phones on June 8.
The company didn’t provide trade-in credit from the first order, which is $35,880. On the other hand, most of the trade-in credit for the second and third orders was received by him but the customer found that around $9,713 was still missing from these credits.
Later, the credit card company closed off two of the disputes and credited $9,713 back to the buyer. However, the largest amount is pending and the Samsung still owes customer’s more than $35,000.
According to the report by SamMobile, Samsung’s trade-in policy states that “trade-ins should take no longer than eight business days to be processed and confirmed via email.” But in this case, it has been more than two months since the trade-in claim started and the credit from the first order was yet to come.
